SUSTAINABILITY

All Awlma brand goods are handcrafted in Portugal by skilled artisans using premium, vegetable-tanned leather.

 

Our hides come from responsible European tanneries and are tanned using natural, plant-based tannins, a traditional, chrome-free process that develops a rich patina and greatly reduces environmental impact. Because our leather is sourced exclusively as a byproduct of the food industry, no animal is ever raised for its hide.

 

We craft by order and avoid overproduction, which means certain variations may occasionally be temporarily unavailable. This slow production approach ensures quality over quantity, and a product built to last for decades, not seasons.

 

For our paper goods, we work only with acid-free, FSC-certified papers sourced from responsibly managed forests. All printing is done in Porto, Portugal, using environmentally conscious methods and materials.

We ship all over Europe, using UPS, DPD and SEUR as partners, selecting the most reliable carrier for each destination to ensure fast delivery at competitive rates.
